Taylors Lakes Secondary College encourages all students to take on added responsibility within the College and also the local community. Being involved in the College Leadership team involves helping students develop a higher level civic responsibility. Students are selected into this program via an application and interview process and are admitted after demonstrating a number of key criteria. Key responsibilities of leaders include: facilitating major fundraising projects for charity organisations, school improvement initiatives, community-based volunteering, promoting and assisting with whole school events (Sport carnivals, Productions, Information nights, Grade 6-Year 7 transition days) and much more.

Student leaders have varied responsibilities depending on the program they are accepted into. A list of the different leadership programs within the College are outlined below:
